Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description and Tasks:

This work aims to obtain support to maintain the optimum performance and reliability of current Automated Collection System (ACS) applications and assist with modernizing IRS ACS applications. The contractor will provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) software testing services. These services will encompass application changes, steady state operations, maintenance (including hardware and software upgrades), system analysis, error detection, problem resolution, application testing, and technical documentation updating.  This position conducts System Integration Testing including:

• Analyze all defects and make recommendations if they are defects from the current requirements or modifications to the current requirements.
• Create automated testing scripts using the Selenium Testing Software tool to identify defects prior to deployment.
• Assist with determining the prioritization of the defects/modifications.
• Work on the defects/modifications in priority order unless the Government instructs them otherwise. Defects/modifications will be fixed and tested before the code is released in production. The government must agree to any exceptions to this guidance.
• Prepare testing documentation as needed

Required Skills:

• Experience conducting Java-based front-end web testing.
• Strong background/experience with Selenium web testing tools.
• Experience using Enterprise Lifecycle Management (ELM) tools.
• Experience using/updating/optimizing Java development/testing environments using tools like ECLIPSE 202X, JDK11/17, Maven, Enterprise Workflow Management (EWM) and Client, Visual Studio, etc.
• Experience creating/maintaining/updating Selenium automated testing scripts to identify defects prior to deployment. 
• Self-starter and motivated to work multiple tickets in parallel and quickly resolve such that there are less than four (4) open tickets at any given time.
