Raytheon has an immediate need for an Associate Director for Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems reporting to the Director of Short to Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) and One Raytheon Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) within the Land & Air Defense Systems Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) team. The Associate Director is responsible for maximizing the opportunities for Raytheon in the rapidly emerging C-UAS market, facilitating domestic growth by identifying and filling customer capability gaps, aligning our capabilities to the customer needs, shaping opportunities by developing trusted relationships with our customers and accelerating our solutions to market.  The Associate Director will be required to work collaboratively across multiple internal and external organizations to provide systems solutions that include multiple capabilities.   The Associate Director will interface with Program Area Directors (PADs) and other senior leaders on C-UAS solutions on a regular basis working across all Mission Areas, Functions and Raytheon Business Areas.  This leader will represent Raytheon as the face-to-face customer in one of our most significant growth areas for the Company. 

What You Will Do

  • Lead, develop and implement Raytheon Domestic customer efforts to advance C-UAS strategy
  • Establish and foster intimate relationships with our customers -- align LADS solutions to customer requirements
  • Provide support and alignment for LADS market analysis, strategy development, and investment planning
  • Interface and collaborate with Program team(s) on C-UAS solutions and manage New Business Investment (NBI)
  • Coordinate and collaborate across organizations internally and externally to deliver best fit C-UAS solutions
  • Participate in and support the IRAD process to align investment with business goals
  • Support and lead C-UAS captures
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
  • Travel domestically ~ 30% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • University Degree and a minimum of 12 years’ experience with integrated Army Air and Missile Defense operations, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Experience with US Army force management and resourcing processes
  • Experience with Army Air & Missile Defense capabilities integration across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLP-F)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience collaborating at the enterprise level planning, coordinating, and executing plans/strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with the interoperability and integration of air and missile defense systems
  • Experience with C-UAS capabilities and user operational requirements

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
