Job description

Job Title: SAP Authorization Consultant

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

The SAP Authorization Consultant will perform upgrade (SU25) steps, roles and authorization adjustments, unit testing, and coordinate Integration & User Acceptance testing, Cutover, Go-live, and Hypercare.

Main Responsibilities:

Key Requirements

  • Upgrade Execution (SU25 Steps)
  • Perform SU25 maintenance to synchronize authorization objects and profiles post-upgrade510.
  • Address SPDD/SPAU adjustments during technical upgrades to resolve authorization conflicts in custom code612.
  • Utilize tools like SUM (Software Update Manager) for system upgrades and data migration to SAP S/4HANA10.
  • Role and Authorization Management
  • Redesign roles using SAP Profile Generator (PFCG) to align with organizational changes post-upgrade811.
  • Resolve Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts and apply SAP GRC Access Control for risk mitigation59.
  • Implement derived roles and automate assignments via HR job mappings to streamline user access11.
  • Testing and Deployment
  • Conduct unit testing for authorization objects and roles, validating access across modules like ECC, BW, and Fiori35.
  • Coordinate Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documenting issues using tools like SAP Solution Manager910.
  • Manage cutover activities, including final role deployments and user access provisioning1012.
  • Post-Go-Live Support
