Job description

Step into a role as a Senior Learning and Development Specialist at Bright Horizons, where in this role, you will develop and lead professional development and training projects, including virtual events, and provide support for implementation and application.

This is a remote role.

Responsibilities:

Depending on the line of business, the position may perform some or all of the below functions:

  • Contribute to strategy and innovation about how professional development and training can impact company and department goals.

  • Lead multiple aspects of a project from proposal stage to production ensuring quality assurance, usability, implementation and application support, and outcomes are met.

  • Contribute to and manage logistics for training initiatives.

  • Understand and monitor IACET standards compliance.

  • Design and develop professional development, training programs and resources using instructional design principles, the ADDIE or SAM model, and (remove using) a variety of delivery methods such as instructor led workshops, computer based training, videos, and enhanced PowerPoint materials.

  • Collect and track training needs information including field requests, state requirements, and BHFS requirements.

  • Contribute to review, revision, and curation of current professional development and training materials.

  • Understand and implement the levels of learning measurement, contribute to the design of measurement tools and strategies, assess results, and make recommendations based on measurement results.

  • EfEffectively use eLearning software tools such as: (remove Prezi) Canva, Camtasia, ON24, Bright Horizons learning management system, and Articulate.

  • Assist & lead logistical aspects of internal conferences and produce department training webinars.

  • Development of training tools and job aids to help trainers/facilitators increase acumen and impact.

  • Collaborate and lead project work with other departments on special projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Learning & Development or related field required

  • 3 years experience in designing and developing adult learning and training

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Other qualifications include eLearning design acumen; computer software skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Power Point; strong writing skills; and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Facilitation skills & experience are required; Early childhood education experience or knowledge is desirable.

  • Project management and the use of tools and resources to support the work.

  • Precise organizational skills to report accurate data and evaluation information.

  • Ability to work independently

  • Some travel will be required

Salary/Hourly Rate and Other Compensation Disclosures:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000 - $72,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
