About This Position
Reporting to the Director of Website Strategy & Growth, the Jr. Website Developer will support our growth goals through the optimization of our existing web infrastructure across our two key websites – LocaliQ.com and WordStream.com.
This position will provide a talented and motivated Website Developer with an opportunity to engage with a tech stack of leading digital marketing and analytics providers, including WordPress, Cloudflare, and VWO. You’ll work on established websites, that receive millions of monthly site visitors, ensuring that every experience is a positive one by leading the implementation of vital performance updates, developing code that eliminates potential for technical debt, and leveraging existing analytics processes to enable the larger marketing team in tracking key metrics.
Base Salary: $65,000 - $70,000, candidate will be required to work central time zone hours
What you’ll be doing
- Support ongoing website development to ensure customer journeys that lead to CTAs
- Work closely with our Creative Director to turn mockups into functional web pages
- Write quality code and help find the best technical approaches possible
- Gain hands-on experience, reviewing and repairing inefficient code by implementing spot fixes that eliminate risk and performance issues
- Implement analytics tracking scripts to diagnose conversion and performance issues
- Be responsible for deployments of website updates
- Work on testing the connection between our websites and subdomains utilized by our product team to ensure user experience is seamless with new product launches
- Participate in sitewide initiatives that further expand our website’s capabilities and accessibility across devices and platforms
Who should apply
- Experience in website development
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar
- Experience and knowledge with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, SASS, and JavaScript/jQuery
- Wordpress and/or Divi page builder experience is a plus
- Knowledge of working with version control systems (SVN, GIT) and multiple-tier deployment (Dev, QA, Stage, Production)
- Capable of working within an agile scrum or KANBAN development environment
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is a plus
- Ability to play a major role in complex projects, including site redesigns
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, where projects frequently involve ambiguity and flexibility
- Team player who is focused on collaboration, making sure that all work we put out as a team has been QA-ed, fully actualized, and aligns with company goals
The annualized base salary for this role will range between $65,000 and $70,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
