Summary:
Staff4Me is looking for a skilled Break-Fix Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues for a variety of devices, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong troubleshooting background and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a technical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various devices including PCs, laptops, printers, and servers.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all service requests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Provide outstanding customer service and technical support to clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement preventative maintenance strategies and improve overall service efficiency.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in the IT support field.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Break-Fix Engineer or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and common software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex issues quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or equivalent are a plus.
