Job description

As an SDET Manager at FloQast, you’ll lead a team of Software Development Engineers in Test to build and maintain robust, scalable automated testing frameworks. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring both test coverage and compliance readiness (SOX, SOC 2, etc.) while enabling continuous delivery and rapid iteration. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about engineering excellence, automation, and audit-focused quality standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of SDETs to develop and maintain automated test infrastructure across multiple product lines.
  • Define and evolve test automation strategies for frontend, backend, and API testing.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to ensure quality gates align with internal controls and external audit requirements (SOX, SOC 2, etc.).
  • Establish KPIs and quality metrics to monitor and continuously improve software quality.
  • Support code quality efforts such as static analysis, code coverage, and performance testing.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant test frameworks are in place to support growth and innovation.

  • What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium).
  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD processes and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
  • Experience supporting compliance initiatives (SOX, SOC 2, or similar frameworks).
  • Proven track record of building test strategies for SaaS products.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Nice To Haves
  • Background in accounting, fintech, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Familiarity with security, load, and performance testing tools.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS).

    This job posting is for our Software Engineering Manager, the base pay range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000.  Compensation is not limited to base salary.
