Responsibilities:
Research and implement software applications leveraging Large Language Models. Analyze and interpret complex datasets to create actionable insights and solutions. Develop, test, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms. Build software solutions to automate and streamline data analysis processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and provide data-driven solutions. Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our data systems are current and competitive.
Requirements:
Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Python, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems. Experience in building and deploying machine learning models. Strong knowledge of data structures, data modelling, and software architecture. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex solutions in a simple, actionable way. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Experience with linux-based systems and bash. Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Plotly, Matplotlib, Grafana, or similar. Experience with big data tools such as SQL, Pandas, Spark, or similar. Experience with ML tools such as xgboost, mlflow, scikit-learn, tensorflow, kedro Experience with GenAI tools such as langchain, langgraph, langflow. Knowledge of Agile methodologies. Proven experience in data management and data preprocessing. Professional certifications related to data science or machine learning would be a plus. Domain knowledge in Networking work be a plus.
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
