Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse the LVN performs assigned duties to support patient care to all ages. Duties include collection of lab samples (e.g. drawing blood urine sputum) performing point of care testing obtaining vital signs starting IV's inserting foleys inserting nasogastric tubes delivering wound care and assisting with other procedures. LVN will report observations regarding patient status to the registered nurse. LVN will also support department activities (e.g. compile packets check crash carts stocking unit and cleaning work areas). The LVN can serve as a unit receptionist and order transcriber. Assembles maintains and files the medical record according to department policy and procedure. The LVN may be assigned other duties in addition to the major responsibilities listed above.

I.V. certification/approved course.

$30.38 - $37.95 /hour
