Job Summary

Responsible for managing, developing, and mentoring individual contributors. Plans and executes sales engineering strategy. Focused on inspiring, training, growing, and retaining personnel and enabling top line growth of the business. We're seeking a candidate for a unique hybrid technical sales role. Expertise in enterprise - level deals and landing high - value annual recurring revenue contracts during complex sales cycles is essential. A strong background in telephony systems, CRMs, APIs, and connections is required, with contact center experience nearly mandatory. Experience in healthcare - related systems such as EHR is preferred. The ideal candidate can coordinate between product, IT, and sales teams, clearly present complex solutions to customers, and has a successful history of managing major enterprise accounts.

Essential Duties

  • Manage the support provided to sales staff in the development and implementation of specific sales and negotiation strategies to achieve new business as they pertain to functional or technical requirements of company systems
  • Translate high level sales strategy into clear, actionable goals for direct reports; regularly communicate goals to direct reports and track performance against goals
  • Monitor direct reports sales activity and pipeline activity, identifying opportunities to increase sales productivity
  • Lead sales engineering team and support staff through quarterly detailed account planning process; ensure plans are aggressive enough to reach targets
  • Train direct reports on how to clearly communicate solutions and technical enhancement opportunities to optimize product performance
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship
  • Coordinate pursuits and account insights with other team leaders in the sales organization
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned segment and territory or area of expertise
  • Recruit and hire staff; take proactive steps to retain existing staff
  • Proactively identify obstacles for direct reports and recognize personnel problems

Education

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, information technology, or a related field
    • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
Experience

  • 5 - 7 years in a technical sales role with customer interaction
  • 3 years of business development (strategy, market segmentation, analysis)
  • 3 years of managing distributed sales teams
  • Expertise in enterprise-level deals and landing high-value annual recurring revenue contracts across complex sales cycles
  • Strong background understanding of telephony systems, CRMs, APIs, and connections, with contact center experience almost a prerequisite
  • Experience in healthcare-related systems like EHR, and ability to coordinate between product, IT, and sales teams
  • Ability to articulate complex solutions to customers and a proven track record of managing significant enterprise-level accounts
