Role: Bookkeeper & Administrator

Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: India

Schedule: Morning shift


Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Management:

  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping tasks for mid-size companies using Xero, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Knowledge of various industry payroll requirements, or demonstrated ability to recognise and comply with particular industry needs, would be highly regarded
  • Maintain professional relationship with external business managers to ensure timely document gathering and accurate bookkeeping performance
  • Keep clear documentation of all client communications
  • Reconcile accounts and manage general ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly/interim financial reports as required.


Manage ASIC Agent Portfolio:

  • Handle all aspects of managing an ASIC agent portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timely filing of documents. A working knowledge of company secretarial obligations (per Corporations Act) will be highly regarded.
  • Company appointments, register changes, and annual review work using CAS360.


Collaboration with Offshore Team:

  • Work closely with other remote teams: this will involve reviewing information and document requests from accounting teams.
  • Effective and time efficient written liaison with management and clients, along with the ability to recognise and retrieve relevant documents from internal files will be critical to this role. Demonstrated prior experience in accounting practice administration is essential.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients via email and other software (training provided) to address information requirements as requested by our accounting teams.


General Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed: maintaining organised and accurate records, build and manage template library, collaborate with other practice admin team members as needed.


Qualification and requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping for SMEs.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Office, and CAS 360.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients and teams, both locally and offshore.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Reliable, competent, and detail-oriented.


Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

  • Experience in Bookkeeping and Proficiency in Xero, MS Office, and CAS 360.
  • Management of Agent Portfolio using ASIC
  • Working knowledge of the Corporations Act
