Credit Analyst – Asset Finance (Australia Operations)

Pathway to Operations Manager

Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 5:45 PM (AEST)

Are you a skilled Credit Analyst with a passion for green energy, credit operations, and asset finance? Join us as we expand our green asset finance business in Australia, focusing on credit analysis and operational tasks with a clear path to becoming an Operations Manager. If you have a solid background in credit assessment and a drive for growth, this is your chance to make a real impact in the green energy sector.

Why This Role Is Different
  • Hands-On Role: Focus on credit analysis, proposal preparation, and operational tasks with a clear progression into senior management.

  • Growth-Oriented: We’re looking for someone eager to dive deep into credit operations and grow into an operations leadership role.

  • Direct Impact: You will spend 4–6 hours a day analyzing credit applications and proposing them to lender panels, driving decisions that power green energy financing.

What You’ll Do

Credit Assessment & Proposal (60–75% of your time):

  • Analyze and assess credit applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Perform detailed financial analysis, risk assessments, and prepare credit proposals for lender panels.

  • Challenge or overturn credit decisions when appropriate, using your strong commercial financial acumen.

Operational Execution (20–30% of your time):

  • Manage the credit process from intake through to settlement, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

  • Streamline operational tasks to improve transaction accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Work alongside the current team to review and improve operational processes and SOPs.

Process & Policy Improvement (10–20% of your time):

  • Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance credit risk processes, and implement best practices.

  • Collaborate with senior analysts and operations teams to drive efficiency across the business.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or Underwriter in financial services—preferably in asset finance.

  • Strong ability to assess and evaluate credit risks, with a deep understanding of commercial financial accounts and lending procedures.

  • 3+ years of mortgage or asset funding experience.

Skills & Attributes:

  • High analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex credit applications.

  • Ability to make informed, timely decisions and challenge existing credit rulings when necessary.

  • Strong attention to detail and process-focused thinking.

  • Comfort working with financial modeling, risk assessment, and due diligence.

Growth Potential:

  • Eagerness to grow into a senior Operations Manager role with the ability to take on broader operational responsibilities.

  • A passion for green energy, with an interest in learning about the decarbonization asset market (e.g., solar, storage, EV charging).

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Impactful Work: Play a key role in financing green energy projects across Australia, contributing directly to the global green energy transition.

  • Career Growth: This is a rare opportunity to grow from a Credit Analyst into an Operations Manager, with clear guidance and mentorship from senior team members.

  • Dynamic Environment: Work in a fast-paced, innovative, and mission-driven company focused on sustainability and green finance.

Benefits
  • Full-time
  • Permanent work from home
  • 48 hours of sick time and PTO credits
  • Paid Holidays after 90 days
