What does an E-Learning Specialist (New Media Developer) really do? Think of yourself as someone who finds ridiculously good ways to create different types of instructional media that are used within the designated learning environment. so not everyone can qualify for this role. We make sure we get the best of the best, after all, we are a ridiculously good company so we make sure our employees are top notch. So come on, now we need your full concentration because it’s time to imagine what it’s like being E-Learning Specialist (New Media Developer).

Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: Develop instructional media which includes but is not limited to: infographics, videos, informative e-learning courses, tool simulations, game-based courses. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: Utilize various graphics, video, and course authoring software to develop visually appealing and modern-looking instructional media. Apply visual design principles in every single output.

As an E-Learning Specialist (New Media Developer), you will adhere to project timelines outlined by the project lead/manager, do a presentation and application of innovative learning media within a specified period. What else? Well, you also need to make a contribution and impact of developed media to learning, measured by Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation (Levels 1 to 3). 

So, do you have what it takes to be E-Learning Specialist (New Media Developer)?

Requirements:

What is it we’re looking for? Well since this is an E-Learning Specialist (New Media Developer) we need someone with at least 1-2 years of related experience. What else? We also need someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts or any related field. 

Now let’s get technical. We’re looking someone who is experienced in creating static and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Edge Animate, and so on); knowledgeable in developing instructional media with at least one e-learning authoring tool (Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline preferred).

What else? Well, we need someone who has a solid grasp of visual design principles; knowledge of e-learning development/interaction levels; knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning Domains (or Anderson and Krathwohl's); knowledge of Mayer’s 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning.
