The Lead, IT Portfolio Management organizes and prioritizes projects and programs based on IT Strategy, strategic roadmap, available and prioritized budgets, changes schedules and ensures that the appropriate financial and organizational support is being allocated in support of those goals. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all projects within the Enterprise Observability portfolio align with organizational strategic goals.
Prioritize projects based on their strategic value to maximize return on investment and effectively allocate resources.
Establish standardized processes and frameworks for project initiation, execution, and closure.
Provide oversight and governance to ensure consistent quality and adherence to best practices across the portfolio.
Manage resource allocation to ensure the right resources are assigned to projects in a timely manner.
Identify and address bottlenecks to enhance productivity and improve project delivery timelines.
Identify potential risks across the portfolio and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively manage risks to minimize disruptions and enhance responsiveness to unforeseen challenges.
Act as a key liaison between project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and expectation management.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback throughout the project lifecycle to ensure project success.
Develop and implement performance metrics to assess the health of the Enterprise Observability portfolio.
Provide regular updates to senior management, facilitating informed decision-making and accountability.
Oversee cross-functional programs and projects, including the migration from on-premises solutions to SaaS platforms.
Coordinate observability coverage use cases across various business segments to ensure successful execution.
Manage portfolio communications workstream, providing strategic guidance to leadership on best practices for presentations and reporting.
Leverage data, technological insights, and outcome-oriented solutions to enhance stakeholder engagement.
Support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes in managing consumption, show-back, and savings in collaboration with accounting, finance, and technical areas.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
5+ years of technical experience
2 years of project leadership experience
4+ years of experience producing financial analysis, metrics, measurements and trend reports
4+ years of experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
Technology background to translate and communicate effectively IT deliver presentations into executive and business views/understanding
This role needs to be able to communicate effectively, build/maintain relationship with cross functional areas along with an understanding of department’s work and department finances.
Strong ability to predict risks, identify cross team coordination gaps, and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of the core Finance principles and basic understanding of the corporate accounting process (forecast, invoicing, accruals. etc.)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Ability to build strong relationships and manage expectations with a host of diverse stakeholders
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Azure DevOps (ADO) reporting experience
Apptio reporting experience
Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
Understanding of data center technology and IT infrastructure
Program or Project Management Experience
Six Sigma certification
PMP certification
Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple project teams
