Senior Pre & Post Sales Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Pre & Post Sales Manager to lead and oversee our Pre-Sales and Post-Sales teams. This pivotal role is responsible for managing Sales Engineers in Pre-Sales and Customer Implementation Specialists in Post-Sales, ensuring seamless customer experiences from the initial engagement to post-implementation success, playing a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, aligning solutions with customer needs, and supporting sales efforts to achieve revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving customer satisfaction with a strategic mindset to create scalable processes and foster a team culture of collaboration to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of Sales Engineers and Customer Implementation Specialists.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster collaboration between Pre-Sales and Post-Sales teams to ensure a unified approach to customer success.
- Develop training programs and career development plans for team members.
Pre-Sales (Sales Engineers) Management
- Support the Sales team by providing technical expertise and strategic guidance during the pre-sales process.
- Ensure Sales Engineers deliver high-quality discovery and qualification workshops, product demonstrations, technical presentations, technically and commercially viable tailored solutions to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to understand client needs, address technical challenges, and drive proposal and RFP response (supporting our Bid team).
- Drive innovation in the sales process by introducing tools, techniques, and best practices.
Post-Sales (Customer Implementation Specialists) Management
- Oversee the post-sales implementation process, ensuring successful onboarding and deployment of solutions.
- Work closely with Pre-sales and the customers to understand their requirements and align implementation strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and improve post-sales workflows to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Act as an escalation point for critical implementation issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Work closely with our Pre & Post-Sales Process Optimization Data lead to drive standardization and consistency across the team
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a liaison between Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Sales, Product Development, Tech Ops and Operational Support teams.
- Provide feedback to Product teams based on customer interactions and market trends to drive product improvements.
- Partner with Sales leadership to align team activities with company goals and revenue targets.
Performance Analytics & Reporting
- Establish and monitor KPIs for both Pre-Sales and Post-Sales teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze team performance, customer feedback, and project outcomes to identify areas of improvement.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to both team members and senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical background with experience in pre-sales and post-sales roles.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction and achieve revenue growth.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to create scalable processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using CRM and sales management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish and/or Portuguese speaker a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business)
- MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
- 10+ years of experience in pre-sales, post-sales, or related roles
- Experience in the tech industry or a similar field.
- Familiarity with product development and technical support processes.
- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies.
