Job description

AnitaB.org is a global leader dedicated to empowering women and advancing their careers. As a solution-oriented convener, we create opportunities that drive growth, ensuring women are seen, heard, and equipped to achieve successful career longevity.

Our mission is to get women in tech skilled, hired, promoted, paid, and funded so that they can thrive, lead, and drive innovation for a more equitable and sustainable future. What sets us apart is our role as change agents of the status quo and prioritizing the humanity in every individual. We create safe spaces where women can share their vulnerabilities without judgment, and we see and honor them for who they truly are. We are known for our various programs connecting, guiding, and inspiring women in tech, as well as our annual Grace Hopper Celebration, the world’s largest gathering of women in tech.

As the Social Media Coordinator at AnitaB.org, you will be at the forefront of our digital presence, driving brand awareness, engagement, and growth across key platforms. You will develop and execute innovative social media strategies, craft compelling content, and manage targeted advertising campaigns that connect with our audience, amplify our mission, and convert online interactions into meaningful action.

In this role, you will also play a crucial part in monetizing and expanding our YouTube channel, growing LinkedIn newsletter subscriptions, and producing live content that elevates our thought leadership. If you are a strategic storyteller with a deep understanding of social media trends, paid advertising, and audience engagement, we want you on our team.

Here's what you'll do
  • Create and implement a comprehensive social media plan to boost engagement, increase brand visibility, and drive website traffic.
  • Run effective Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google, and LinkedIn ad campaigns, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize reach and conversions.
  • Develop, publish, and manage compelling multimedia content (graphics, videos, infographics) across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms using tools like Canva.
  • Produce and execute LinkedIn Live and YouTube Live sessions to engage audiences in real time, positioning AnitaB.org as a leading voice in tech and Opportunity.
  • Monitor social media performance metrics, analyze trends, and refine strategies to maximize ROI, audience growth, and engagement.
  • Work cross functionally with departments within AnitaB.org, our creative design team, our communications team, and program teams to ensure brand consistency, impactful messaging, and marketing support.
  • Keep a pulse on platform changes, algorithm updates, and emerging digital trends to ensure AnitaB.org remains a social media leader.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned, which means to be agile and rise to the challenge: in service to our mission, from time to time, we do ask team members to take on, or volunteer to take on, additional or different duties outside of their formal job description.
Here's what we hope you'll bring
  • Professionalism in team and external stakeholder interactions and communications, including honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Proven experience managing and growing social media channels with a strong track record of engagement and conversion.
  • Expertise in social media advertising (Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads), including audience targeting, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of monetizing and optimizing YouTube to drive subscriptions and engagement.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn newsletters and executing campaigns to grow subscribers.
  • Proficiency in StreamYard (or similar) for producing high-quality live content.
  • Strong skills in software tools like Sprout Social, Jira, and Canva.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and translate them into actionable insights.
  • A passion for tech, equity, and using digital platforms to create change.
  • Ability to travel as position requires.

The salary range for this position is $66,522-$68,818, plus competitive benefits, including health insurance, vision, dental and a 403(b) discretionary match.
