About the Role:

The Senior Web Marketing Manager will act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the execution teams (Digital Marketing, Web Development, Design) to ensure that clear requirements are explored, defined, prioritized and executed.

    • Ensure that all stakeholder projects are standardized and complete; requirements must capture all aspects of effective digital marketing, including but not limited to design, brand, SEO, usability and analytics
    • Own the assessment of impact/priority of stakeholder projects and offer alternate, lower effort solutions for stakeholder requests depending on the core need.
    • Identify synergies between internal (Web Dev & Marketing) & stakeholder projects to maximize efficiency of development efforts and to ensure delivery of a consistent, on-brand experience across all marketing channels
  • Testing & Optimization
    • Will be responsible for not just for stakeholder-oriented projects, but for Web-ideated projects themselves.
    • Focus will be on ideation, prioritization (impact/effort) and execution of web tests and optimization initiatives for confluent.io and developer.confluent.io
    • Collaborate with Design and Development to ideate new opportunities to provide upleveled experiences across all marketing channels
  • Web System Ownership
    • Create requirements for development initiatives aimed at improving the quality and usability of pre-existing digital marketing tools
    • Partner with Marketing Operations & technology vendors to ensure maximum value is being realized from vendor contracts
    • Work closely with the development team to evaluate alternative or additional vendors that may further improve the digital marketing tech stack
    • Prioritize the backlog of work items (project and internal) to ensure clear requirements have been defined and are understood by the development team
    • Work closely with senior leadership to build a strategic roadmap that positions Confluent to excel in its delivery of exceptional digital marketing experiences
  • Training, Documentation & Awareness
    • Build a Center of Excellence program around digital marketing technology and best practices
    • Host training sessions with key stakeholders as new functionality is introduced
    • Ensure teams are aware of the capabilities and limitations of the digital marketing platform
  • Production Support

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, product management, or similar roles
