Job description

The Product Marketing Intern role is a learning opportunity working on initiatives that help to position Business Wire’s products and services, effectively fostering key cross-functional relationships, maintaining a customer mindset to bring new developments to market, and equipping the Sales team with appropriate knowledge and training to communicate with prospects and clients. Under the direction of your mentors, you will participate in supporting go-to-market launch planning, developing Sales enablement resources, exploring customer feedback and insights, and researching competitive intelligence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and other members of the Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to support the organization’s key Product Marketing initiatives.  

What You Will Do
  • Work closely with mentors and team members to gain knowledge of Business Wire's products and services, while also learning about the other roles within the marketing team that support Product Marketing with ongoing collaboration
  • Understand the functional responsibilities of Product Marketing and Sales Enablement
  • Learn about Business Wire’s competitive landscape and effective messaging & positioning tactics
  • Learn to work within Business Wire’s Sales Enablement and CRM platforms
  • Learn to present meaningful insights on customer feedback, product opportunities, and Product Marketing strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Sales, Media Relations, and our Newsroom

  • What You Will Need
  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Marketing, Business Administration, or other Marketing-related fields
  • General knowledge of Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the purpose and use of Sales Enablement platforms a plus
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience collecting and analyzing customer insights a plus
  • Ability to maintain a “big picture” strategic perspective as well as focus on specific details and deliverables
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A passion for storytelling demonstrated through strong writing skills
  • Maintain a self-starter and collaborative mindset
  • Past relevant work experience
