JOB SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the development and modification of Clarity reports used by Saint Francis Healthcare System. Often abbreviated as BI developer, this position analyzes, provides specifications for, and writes individual reports for the applications to which he/she is assigned. Additionally, the BI developer will be responsible for building one or more of the following: Universes/Cubes, Extracts, and SlicerDicer. This individual is responsible for becoming highly proficient in the use of the business intelligence tools (i.e. Cognos), reporting tools (i.e. Crystal Reports, Workbench, and/or Business Objects) as well as gaining expertise about the Clarity data model and acquiring a good working knowledge of how assigned Epic application(s) store data. This individual possesses the ability to effectively analyze the reporting needs of report consumers in both business and clinical operations. Ideally, the Clarity report writer designs and writes reports based on an existing knowledge of current operational system usage and end user workflows.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)
Education:
A bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field.
Certification & Licensures:
- Must possess or attain Epic certification as a Clarity BI developer within the 90 day probationary period.
- Strong communication skills
- Critical thinking and an analytical mind
- Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts- preferred
- Proficiency and demonstrated experience with report writing tools
- Ability to determine data structures that benefit the entire reporting environment
- For financial reporting: Prior experience working with an A/R system- preferred
- For clinical reporting: Prior experience working with an EMR system- preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- At least three (3) years of experience with report writing tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, a customer service focus, strong data analysis skills and a history of productive collaborative relationships with co-workers and team members.
Saint Francis Healthcare System is committed to a compensation philosophy that aligns to the fiftieth percentile of the marketplace, while also crediting applicable and/or relevant work experience when computing compensation offers for selected candidates. Minimum annual rate: $44,869/yr
