Job Summary:
Support Mid-Market accounts by being proactive, strategic, focused on revenue generation and retaining profitable business. Develop and maintain effective customer relationships. Drive renewal, amendment and cross-sell activities. Groups serviced will typically include cases between 500 – 4,999 lives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
35% Manage and lead effective relationships with policyholders and producers on assigned caseload through occasional on-site visits, professional negotiation, responsive communication, problem resolution and meeting customer expectations. Work with producers and policyholders to understand their concerns and needs and act as liaison between home office departments and the customers. Initiate plan improvements supporting growth, escalate complex administrative inconsistencies and coordinate answers to complex claims, premium and evidence questions.
35% Pursue opportunities to improve profitability, retention, and growth. Monitor renewal activity and prepare renewal package for the producer ensuring justification for the renewal and recommending changes that promote growth and profitability, if appropriate. Have a thorough understanding of our products and services to assist in identifying, driving and promoting the sale of additional lines of coverage or plan improvements on assigned block of business. Promote new product and service offerings and enhanced product features. Highlight the advantages of placing the coverage with our company in coordination with the assigned Sales Representative.
10% Manage the amendment process to make changes to customer’s contracts, following underwriting, compliance and administration guidelines.
10% Create a strategy on the inforce block in consideration of the enrollment and re-enrollment process, conducting enrollment meetings or being present at benefit fairs, as needed.
10% Cross train for other office functions and back up other employees as requested. Other Duties as Assigned - Participate in various projects or initiatives. Perform other duties as required by the Manager.

Required education: Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
Salary Range:
