Position Purpose:

A Lead Customer Experience (CX) Researcher is responsible for conducting research and advising on user and design strategy throughout the product development process. To succeed in this role, the researcher must collaborate with IT stakeholders to promote and plan impactful research, champion user needs, and apply data-driven insights to guide strategy and design decisions.

In addition, the Lead CX Researcher will:

  • Mentor and support other researchers on the team as needed.
  • Contribute to research strategy and team best practices.
  • Review and approve research plans and findings.
  •  Maintain the short-term research roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead and execute qualitative and quantitative research across all phases of design to ensure user needs are addressed in the final product.
  • Guide, review, and approve research plans and deliverables; mentor and train team members.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Development, and other stakeholders on feature planning; maintain the PI research roadmap.
  • Facilitate key workshops, stakeholder meetings, and user research sessions.
  • Lead efforts of the research repository, team processes, and measurement strategies.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or equivalent experience required.
  • 7 year of UX research experience or similar research experience required.
  • Proficient with qualitative and quantitative UX research methodologies (including mixed methods, statistical analysis).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, moderate research studies.
  • Ability to manage a roadmap and prioritize multiple projects for self and others. Proficient with user testing platforms.
  • Experience with software development methodology and release processes (Agile preferred).

Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $154,700.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
