11 Mortgage recognizes the changing regulations that accompany the loan process and holds innovation and adaptability as critical characteristics for our Underwriters.The Wholesale Underwriter is responsible for reviewing loan applications and property appraisals and evaluating the loans to minimize risk or loss.
Ideal candidates for this position will be experienced underwriting conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, highly detail-oriented with data analysis skills, and excellent communication skills.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Review and evaluate loan applications for conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans and property appraisals to determine whether the loan should be approved/denied.
Communicate with loan originators and processors regarding loan status, approvals, suspensions, denials, and conditions.
Maintain a pipeline of loans adhering to posted service level agreements.
Remain current on loan program requirements and review documents for compliance.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
Three years mortgage underwriting experience required.
Two years of underwriting FHA and VA loans required.
National bond program experience preferred.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

Requires sitting, bending.

Compensation range: $40.86/hour - $45.67/hour
