Job description

Title: AWS Cloud Administrator
Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration: Long Term
Location: NYC, NY (Remote)
  • AWS Cloud Administrator (Primarily Gov Cloud)
  • Patching and monitoring related activities


Job Summary –
A mid-senior level subject matter export to manage a critical project for one of our biggest client in Transport/shipping domain. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology.
Years of experience needed – 6+Years

Technical Skills:
The AWS SysOps Administrators’ basic responsibilities to configure AWS Cloud Management and to monitor carefully and manage its services. These are the most important responsibilities and need to be undertaken with high priority and perfection

Other responsibilities include:
• Managing full AWS Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security.
• Migrating existing on-premises application to AWS.
• Setting up and administering multi-tier computer system environments.
• Configure and fine-tune cloud infrastructure systems.
• Performing software upgrades. Kernel patching, errata patches.
• Develop scripts for automating Cloud/server functions.
• Establish metrics, monitor carefully the utilization of AWS resources by using sophisticated Amazon CloudWatch.
• Perform on-premises resources backup by making use of AWS Services.
• Deploy automation infrastructure by using the AWS Cloud Formation techniques.
• Optimize resources and work on resource tagging to share the cost and plan for budgeting and reporting.
• Create presentations to support Commercial Cloud Services (CS2) overviews.
• Create and manage VPC, CS2 Access point, Bastion hosts.
• Communicate with NISP network team to finalize network connection for clients VPC’s.
• Monitor availability and performance extent
• Vulnerability remediation at OS level
• Monitor effectively billing and cost optimization strategies.
• Manage disaster recovery and create backups.
• Maintain Data Integrity and access control while you use AWS application platform.
• Responsible for managing, deploying and operating systems on AWS platform. Also responsible to maintain and manage the AWS infrastructure company and manage the bills and optimize the costs.
