Job Description:

Datasite is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Software Asset Management Analyst to join our team!

The Sr. Software Asset Management Analyst will be accountable for ensuring all software licenses are up-to-date and compliant with vendor agreements, identifying and mitigating risks associated with software licensing and usage and achieving cost savings through effective license management.  Optimize and maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all software assets, providing timely and accurate reports on software usage and compliance status.  Support internal audits and external reviews related to software licensing. 

Accountabilities:

  • Manages the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's software. 
  • Manages and implements an organization's policies and processes to control and maintain software assets.
  • Designs and implements systems that facilitate software asset management.
  • Participates in stakeholder groups to help identify and analyze opportunities for improved asset usage across functional areas.
  • Develop and define license and asset management standards and best practices.
  • Determines key metrics to continually evaluate the effectiveness of software asset management plans and strategies.
  • Monitors procurement and deployment of software.
  • Stays current on any trends or emerging risks relevant to the industry.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow SAM Pro experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in IT asset inventory management
  • 3-4 years’ experience in licensing audit/true-ups and contract renewal
  • Experience with and/or understanding of Configuration Management (CMDB)
  • Solid understanding of Lifecycle management for Software and Licensing.
  • Experience with Jira Service Management and/or similar ITSM Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft, Oracle, and Adobe licensing a plus
  • ITSM/ITIL knowledge a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and interpret data
  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills
  • Minimal travel required.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position.  Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$81,700.00 - $137,900.00
