This is a remote position.

About the Project

We are currently partnering with a prestigious consulting firm to support a strategic data initiative for their end client in the life sciences industry. This initiative focuses on establishing a robust and scalable data quality and governance framework. The role involves setting up a secure Ataccama PaaS platform, integrating it with the client’s corporate network, and implementing industry-standard data stewardship, monitoring, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Setup & Integration

Design and manage the PaaS environment, including setup of multiple instances as needed
Establish secure connectivity with the client’s corporate network, including PingID integration
Customize the user interface and manage user/group access

Data Governance & Quality

Define and implement stewardship workflows and governance roles
Develop and maintain data quality rules aligned with business needs
Monitor data quality, storing results in external databases
Design metadata models including entities, relationships, and properties
Deliver documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer

Operational Excellence

Proactively monitor the platform, resolve incidents, and implement improvements
Define business continuity and disaster recovery plans
Provide ongoing operational support and managed services

Consulting & Migration Support

Define onboarding procedures for new projects and data sources
Guide data preparation in Snowflake and similar platforms
Assist in migrating projects from the legacy platform to the new PaaS solution
Establish internal processes including source connection, metadata management, profiling, and quality checks

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Ataccama software
Proven expertise in data governance, metadata management, and data quality monitoring
Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative setting
Strong documentation and communication skills
