The Senior Manager – Strategic Procurement position for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading a Team focused on strategic commodity management through supplier relationships, supplier risk mitigation, operating margin expansion and driving optimal total cost of ownership.

You will lead the Strategic Procurement group and report to the Director, Materials and Planning responsible for all the Site Commodity Management deliverables including direct material cost reductions, indirect material (expense) savings management, and all site procurement initiatives for new product development and launch. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead Strategic Relationship Management professionals with responsibilities for hardware and consumables for three regional sites
  • Focus on Supply Base Management deliverables for key commodities/suppliers
  • Drive significant Key Performance Indicators (i.e. total cost of ownership, supplier OTD)
  • Improve Operating Margin Expansion
  • Mitigate supplier risks ensuring material continuity
  • Liaison with corporate commodity leaders and site tactical procurement in implementing strategies
  • Deliver on cost reduction targets

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9+ yrs experience, or Masters with 7+ yrs experience (Masters preferred)
  • Able to navigate and succeed in a fast paced environment
  • 3-5 Years Procurement Experience
  • Proficient in managing supplier relationships
  • Ability to lead team and deliver on assigned performance targets
  • Demonstrated cost reduction performance

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Background in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable performing responsibilities in a regulated industry

This is an onsite position currently allowed to work remote.
