Position Title:             Engineer II, Software Development Test Quality Engineer Req# 000097

Hours:                         40 hours per week

Salary Range:             $110,000 - $120,000 per year

Location:                     1055 LPL Way, Fort Mill, SC 29715

Telecommuting:          100% Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

JOB DUTIES: Develop and integrate cutting-edge technologies to support financial services. Build end-to-end testing and automation solutions to connect Advisor Platform, Investor Platform and Teammates. Automate tests using internal and open-source tools and infrastructure. Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality. Work with software engineers to understand product architecture and features. Create and maintain data scenarios to support test plans and test cases. Analyze test results to ensure quality in every phase of development process. Document and track bugs to closure. Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software. Work with product and engineering teams to understand features; develop and automate test cases; and shorten release time from development to production.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, QA Engineer or Software Development Engineer within an Agile scrum team working on test plans, test processes, methodologies, and tools.

Alternatively, Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered, QA Engineer or Software Development Engineer within an Agile scrum team working on test plans, test processes, methodologies, and tools.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • DE creating test plan, authoring test scenarios, and performing regression tests for web applications, APIs, and web services using a test management tool (qTest or similar).

  • DE performing test automation development using Java, TestNG as test framework, Selenium WebDriver for UI tests and RestAssurred for API tests.

  • DE writing and validating SQL queries using subqueries, joins (inner, outer, full, and self), aggregation, clauses, unions, case statements, and table expressions.

  • DE applying continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) using GitHub actions, including writing workflows that build tests and executing, monitoring, inspecting, and reporting on testing.


 

Pay Range:

$110,000 - $120,000

 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
