With over 73,000 professionals in 50+ countries and regions, the NX Group is renowned for its global presence.

As Logistics Sales Director EMEA, your primary objective is to drive the acquisition of large-scale logistics opportunities for the Contract Logistics division across the EMEA region. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and supporting the successful conversion of high-value business opportunities, defined as those generating a minimum of €3 million in annual revenue.

The successful candidate is expected to consistently deliver an opportunity pipeline with a total potential value exceeding €40 million per year, contributing significantly to the division’s long-term growth ambitions.

These are your key tasks:

  • Build and maintain relationships with procurement teams of prospective customers.
  • Position Nippon Express on national, regional, and global RFQ calendars.
  • Evaluate and qualify opportunities based on size, scope, and win probability.
  • Lead customer engagement through face-to-face meetings, together with relevant Logistics Division stakeholders.
  • Guide and coordinate RFQ responses in collaboration with solution design managers and logistics engineers.
  • Analyze RFQ documentation to identify key decision-making criteria and strategic requirements.
  • Participate actively in the solution design process to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and customer expectations.
  • Represent Nippon Express in customer meetings throughout the RFQ process, presenting solutions and managing feedback.
  • Monitor implementation plans to stay informed of progress and ensure successful handover from sales to operations.
  • Maintain communication with the customer during and after go-live to capture feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Support the assigned account manager in managing ongoing relationships and ensuring continuity in service delivery.

  • Proven ability to connect with and establish relationships with large-scale, new customers across multiple sectors.
  • An existing network of potential customers, maintained in full compliance with any non-competition obligations.
  • Demonstrated capability to position the company on EMEA and global RFQ calendars and drive participation in large-scale tender opportunities.
  • Skilled in assessing and qualifying logistics opportunities, with a strong ability to distinguish viable business cases from benchmarking exercises.
  • End-to-end ownership of the RFQ process, from opportunity identification to successful implementation.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams including solution design managers and logistics engineers on comprehensive responses, including network studies, process and warehouse design, IT integration, and automation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
