Location: U.S. (Remote)

Who you are:

The Senior Manager, Events and Travel will be responsible for overseeing all travel and in-person events for various inbound CIEE BridgeUSA programs. This role will plan all in-person team travel and events spearheading decision making for internal teams for events including in-person hiring events, site visits, trade shows, community events, and in-person training/meetings. This role will identify opportunities for CIEE to increase presence as the BridgeUSA industry leader. 

Inbound CIEE BridgeUSA programs allow over 30,000 students and young professionals from around the world to take part in exchange programs at host organizations across the U.S. each year. These programs are operated under the authority of the U.S. Department of State to advance public diplomacy through the BridgeUSA set of programs.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, book and staff all aspects of in-person Road Show events for various inbound CIEE BridgeUSA programs.
  • Communicate with International Representatives on Road Show planning and event details.
  • Own all communications with travel vendors utilized for travel and event bookings.
  • Monitor and maintain all budget items involving Travel and Events for various CIEE BridgeUSA programs.
  • Manage and reconcile CIEE BridgeUSA Inbound Travel and Events Credit Card.
  • Manage and plan of all site visits, sales, visits, and community events for various CIEE BridgeUSA inbound programs.
  • Research, review, and keep current industry and chamber memberships while identifying opportunities for CIEE BridgeUSA brand awareness.
  • Identify, book, and staff all trade shows various CIEE BridgeUSA inbound programs.
  • Lead staff training and expectation setting for all in-person events with a focus on CIEE brand.
  • Coordinate with Marketing/Branding on event needs (handouts, banners, giveaways, etc.).
  • Coordinate with various teams on larger event planning and in-person meetings.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support CIEE’s program placement goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous travel and event planning experience.
  • This role involves some domestic and international travel (Flexible).
  • Experience in international exchange programs encouraged.
  • International travel and/or work experience encouraged.
  • Sales experience, specifically B2B and human capital solutions encouraged.
  • Computer skills including MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment and within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and be flexible.
  • Energetic, personable, goal and team-oriented.
