Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Technology Partnerships will play a pivotal role in building and managing strategic partnerships between SPG and key technology vendors, as well as with SPG partner brokers. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving business development through collaboration with both technology vendors and brokers, ensuring mutual value, and creating effective referral strategies that lead to revenue growth for target technology vendors. The SVP, Technology Partnerships will serve as the principal liaison between SPG and external stakeholders, ensuring that relationships are built and maintained at all levels of the organization, from the C-suite to key operational contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Development:
    • Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to build long-term partnerships between SPG and target technology vendors and brokers.
    • Identify and prioritize high-potential brokers, regions, and blocks of business to target for enhanced partnerships and business growth.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to both technology vendors and brokers, leveraging deep industry knowledge to enhance partnership effectiveness.
  • Increasing Vendor Awareness:
    • Collaborate with SPG and target technology vendors to create strategies to increase awareness of each vendor’s value proposition among target brokers.
    • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to highlight the benefits of partnering with technology vendors, tailored to the needs and interests of specific brokers.
  • Referral Generation:
    • Identify and develop new opportunities for blocks of business, specific brokers, or regions to drive high-quality referrals to target technology vendors.
    • Work closely with SPG internal teams and target vendors to establish clear referral processes, ensuring seamless and effective communication between all parties involved.
    • Develop systems for tracking and measuring the success of referrals, ensuring that performance metrics align with revenue growth targets.
  • Relationship Building and Maintenance:
    • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with individuals at all levels within target technology vendors and broker organizations.
    • Manage day-to-day relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring ongoing communication and alignment of goals.
    • Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with both technology vendors and brokers to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Sales and Revenue Support:
    • Supplement the sales processes of target technology vendors by providing valuable market insights, customer feedback, and partnership-driven strategies.
    • Support SPG’s referral initiatives by identifying and driving opportunities for closed revenue for target technology vendors.
    • Collaborate with the sales teams of both SPG and target technology vendors to ensure alignment of sales strategies and maximize joint sales opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with SPG’s internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment in messaging, strategy, and execution of partnership initiatives.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to internal teams to ensure effective collaboration with technology vendors and brokers.
    • Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep partnerships relevant and innovative.
