Job description

Position Summary:
The Sr. Director, Product Management leads one or more teams responsible for the evolution products across the full product life cycle, engaging with sales and technical teams to ensure new products and features are delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with customer needs.

The Sr. Director is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership and direction through planning, goal setting and executing process and technology improvements, managing workload and assignments, projecting resource levels needed to scale implementation capabilities, and working with management on planning, budgeting and cost efficiency measures.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Direct the design and end-to-end execution of business cases, product line pro-forma, or other decision analysis projects, exhibiting mastery of common techniques and frameworks for asking critical questions and conducting analysis.
  • Independently own multiple parallel product initiatives of high complexity through the full product life cycle; define and manage multi-stage programs of high complexity; make resource trade-off decisions within a product line or program.
  • Expertly assess the competitive landscape and own the creation of a winning competitive strategy for a major product line, including implications for customer segmentation, profitability, and feasibility; conceive and manages roadmap for new products, enhancements, and end-of-life.
  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, direct the team to define and execute go-to-market strategy for product initiatives and to support sales efforts with product line-level expertise.
  • Establish strategic team specific OKRs and evaluate/prioritize initiatives to achieve those outcomes.
  • Asses high level technical feasibility and tradeoffs to help prioritization efforts.
  • Communicate with the team, product leadership and key stakeholders frequently and effectively, regarding product strategy and motivate the full team that contributes to product delivery.
  • Provide cross functional influence within specific domain(s) of expertise; network with senior internal and external parties in own area of expertise, when needed.
  • Ensure ideas are heard and respectfully challenge the ideas of others; advocate a position and encourage others with a sense of shared purpose and exciting possibilities.
  • Lead the team in talking to a range of customers using their area of product and beyond, always looking for deeper insight.
  • Anchor decisions in research; use research as a key input into problem and solution definition; proactively define the problems for their area of product we should be seeking to understand.
  • Able to spot product quality risks early and proactively work with partners to ensure final product quality is high; contribute to QA testing of product and features.
  • Identify and anticipate risks and issues and proactively find solutions to any obstacles.
  • Role model our core values and virtues and guides others as they develop; lead, manage and mentor product associates at all levels on the team
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training individual contributors and managers on the team
  • Responsible for planning, assigning and directing workloads within the team; conduct performance management activities and facilitate career growth for assigned associates

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in marketing, business, technology or related area required
  • 10+ years More than 15 years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides required
  • Strong experience with managing and mentoring technical teams required
  • Domain knowledge in markets specific to Inmar; such as marketing and retail technology, digital media, financial services or product life-cycle
  • Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
