About the Role

 

Fivetran data replication connectors are trusted by many of the world’s largest enterprises.

As a Senior Solution Architect on the Professional Services team, you’ll help customers design and implement secure, scalable data pipelines that move data from applications, databases, file systems, and data lakes into cloud destinations for analytics and reporting. You'll support implementations including Fivetran’s full portfolio of deployment models

You’ll work directly with customer stakeholders to gather requirements, architect solutions, and guide implementation. You’ll help optimize connector performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide best-practice guidance throughout the deployment lifecycle

One of the focus areas will be Hybrid Deployment, where connectors run containerized in customer-managed data planes using tools like Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes. Your role also includes training, documentation, and enablement to help customers confidently own and operate their production pipelines

You’ll collaborate closely with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Support, Product, and Engineering — and should be comfortable working across both technical and non-technical domains.

This is a full time position based remotely in the Central or Eastern Timezones of the US.

 

Technologies You’ll Use

 

  • Fivetran – including SaaS connectors, HVR, and Hybrid Deployment (customer-managed data plane)
  • On-premise and cloud databases, including:
    • SAP HANA, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Db2, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • On-premise and cloud data warehouses, including:
    • Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks
  • Data Lakes, including:
    • AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
  • Operating systems, including:
    • Windows, Linux, Unix
  • Cloud environments and services:
    • AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Containerization and orchestration tools:
    • Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Helm
      (Experience with containerized environments and orchestrating workloads in cloud or hybrid deployments is a plus)

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Guide customers through installing and configuring Fivetran connectors, ensuring replication readiness (full transactional logging, archiving, etc.)
  • Assist with Hybrid Deployment in containerized environments using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
  • Partner with customers to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and optimize source systems and pipelines
  • Deliver best-practice guidance, training, documentation, and post-deployment support to enable customer self-sufficiency
  • Provide guidance on setting up network configurations including SSH, Private Link etc.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — Product, Support, Success, and Engineering — to ensure successful delivery and customer outcomes

 

Skills We’re Looking For

 

  • 6 to 8 years in a customer-facing technical role involving data architecture, integration or infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of replication, CDC, and ELT/ETL workflows
  • Proficiency in SQL and command-line scripting, with experience across multiple databases, warehouses, and OS platforms
  • Extensive experience configuring secure networking connectivity including SSH tunneling, VPNs, Private Links and enterprise networking
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

 

Bonus Skills

 

  • Experience with customer-managed replication architectures such as Fivetran Hybrid Deployment
  • Kubernetes certification or experience operating container platforms at scale
  • Scripting and automation experience using Python, Shell, or REST APIs
  • Background supporting enterprise customers in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices

This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or  benefits, if applicable.
