Job description

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who brings depth of experience in Pega delivery and passion for making service operations more efficient and intelligent.

This Product Owner (PO) role will work closely with the service operations and product teams to create or enhance the servicing and operations capabilities of the digital financial services offerings across Tyme’s digital assets. This entails taking responsibility for the full life-cycle of product service development and aligning it to the global servicing framework from design through development, launch, iteration, and support.

You will bring a passion for meeting the needs of individuals and businesses through a range of banking products as well as a deep understanding of the benefits that technology can bring to the user communities daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders and the development scrum team to define and clarify business requirements
  • Define and execute product and service strategy in line with the vision and requirements based on customer needs and business objectives
  • Accountable for driving project discovery and inception activities
  • Define minimum viable product (MVP) for product launch and successive iteration and horizon mapping
  • Lead agile delivery teams to prioritize backlog items, contribute to user story writing, ensure the team understands the product backlog, own the product roadmap on behalf of business stakeholders, and plan for sprints in conjunction with the scrum master for these sprints
  • Work where applicable with UXD, marketing, analytics, and the research team to identify customer personas and segments, validate MVP and product scope and deepen knowledge of customer needs, motivations and behaviors to influence designs that contribute to a rewarding customer experience
  • Liaise regularly with technical developers and programmers to understand technical implications, prioritize development and make decisions about technical direction
  • Work closely with business stakeholders (e.g., product managers, customer service and service operations teams, risk, compliance, legal, finance) to understand business imperatives, rules of engagement, expectations, analyze and mitigate risks and determine a strategic approach to product development
  • Accountable for ongoing stakeholder engagement to ensure that all project scope decisions are understood and agreed to and that all their needs are met
  • Own ongoing support and maintenance issues to ensure services are demonstrating continuous improvement and continuing to meet customer needs
  • Identify hypotheses to validate customer problems and define clear learning objectives that will ensure the appropriate tagging and analytics coverage is achieved to inform product roadmap and prioritization decisions
  • Motivate and work with scrum teams on a daily basis to move user stories into production, this includes attending and actively participating in scrum ceremonies
  • Continually seek new innovative ideas and technology to include in the project delivery and socialize effectively with project stakeholders
  • Actively involved in driving continuous improvement activities for the scrum team
  • Accountable for ensuring all work results delivered by the scrum team are of a high standard
  • Consistently take initiative in metrics and measurements of effectiveness on new features and enhancements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to guide the team in analyzing business requirements and empower the team to have more ownership of the business requirements
  • Contribute product and business knowledge to the community

Requirements

To thrive in this role you must have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner delivering Pega solutions, or at least 7 years in a Senior Business Architect role on Pega implementation projects.
  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with Pega Customer Service Framework and case management capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in the Pega Platform, including familiarity with tools like the Pega Later Cake™.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire Pega delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver value rapidly in complex environments, with clear experience in product feature prioritization and effective backlog management.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in improving delivery efficiency and enabling automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to align diverse viewpoints and work effectively across cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • A continuous learning mindset, with a demonstrated commitment to staying current with Pega technologies and industry trends.
  • Relevant experience in the retail financial services sector, including in areas like customer service, fraud operations, forensics, anti-money laundering (AML), payment operations, card operations, KYC, or similar.

 

It would be great if you could bring:

  • Experience with Pega Process AI, GenAI features, and Process Mining to support advanced automation and insight generation.
  • Hands-on experience with Pega Digital Messaging capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive reuse of components and processes across applications.
  • Understanding of API integrations, event streaming, and cloud-native technologies, including exposure to AWS services and developer tools.
  • Experience managing the delivery of servicing and back-office capabilities in a scaled environment.
  • Strong project leadership skills, including the ability to manage concurrent initiatives and mentor team members in delivery or product roles.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques for product insights or performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of retail banking operations, with experience in unsecured lending projects such as personal loans and credit cards.

Education

  • Must have Certified Pega Business Architect in Pega 23 or Pega 24.
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certified Pega System Architect in Pega 23 or Pega 24
