Timely SEO Writer, Entertainment Weekly

Do you binge-watch Love Is Blind, The White Lotus, and The Last of Us as soon as a new season drops? Are you the go-to friend for all the latest entertainment news, from new blockbusters to buzzy indie movies? Entertainment Weekly is looking for an SEO writer to join our digital Evergreen team. This position will involve pitching and writing timely search-driven movie and TV content for EW with a focus on streaming (think: a story about the cast of the latest Netflix hit, or a breakdown of the Severance finale). This person must be a fast and clean writer as well as a digitally-savvy entertainment expert, with knowledge of SEO best practices. The ideal candidate is a voicey writer who can have fun with their copy while retaining authority on the given topic.

EW is a fast-paced newsroom, so speed is essential along with an ability to pitch and write multiple articles per day of varying length. We’re looking for a talented writer who regularly consumes new and popular streaming content and has a knowledge of pop culture.
