This is a remote position.

Role Name: Bilingual (Spanish) Billing Assistant 


Schedule:
Full-time – 40 hours/week
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Chicago, IL time
1-hour lunch break

Job Description
As a Billing Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the accounting and administrative functions of the law firm. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining billing records with precision and professionalism. This role requires high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ideal candidates are analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote, back-office setup.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and generate accurate client invoices based on case activity and time entries
  • Monitor billing deadlines and ensure timely invoice submissions
  • Review billing data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with appropriate team members
  • Update and maintain billing databases and spreadsheets
  • Assist with follow-ups on outstanding payments or billing issues
  • Coordinate with internal teams for any required billing adjustments
  • Handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion
  • Support additional administrative and finance-related tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in billing, invoicing, or a related administrative role
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Strong communication skills (written, non-voice)
  • Familiarity with legal billing or law firm experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working with financial data and confidential information
