About the Position:

We are seeking a manager to join and lead our automation team. This is an exciting role for someone who is looking for a rare and unique opportunity in the MSP world to lead and manage a team focused automation!

The Manager, Automation will be responsible for identifying and implementing automation opportunities across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of IT Managed Services Providers (MSPs) and the tools we use, including Business Process Automation (BPA), Professional Services Automation (PSA), and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team of automation engineers and delivering automation initiatives on-time and on budget. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate automation opportunities across various departments.
• Lead and manage a team of automation engineers to design, develop, and implement automation solutions.
• Work with internal stakeholders across the organization to integrate automation tools and processes.
• Utilize tools such as BPA, PSA, and RMM to securely streamline business processes.
• Provide training and support to staff on automation tools and best practices.
• Ensure automation initiatives are data-driven, delivered on-time and within budget.
• Track and manage team productivity and regularly report on team progress.
• Manage the team budget and report on team and individual KPIs.
• Work with the leadership to develop an automation transformation strategy for the organization.
• Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes and procedures.
• Train new team members and develop and maintain a team knowledgebase.
• Manage an inventory of automations, tools and coding repositories.
• Maintain relationships with tools vendors and stay atop industry trends.
• Act as player-coach to lead the team but also work with the team in the development process at times.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Act as an evangelist for automation to the organization
• Ability to break down complex concepts for clients and non-technical internal stakeholders
• Present internal stakeholders and to clients.

Experience

Required Experience:

• Python and PowerShell experience preferred.
• Business Process Automation Experience (Rewst, PowerAutomate, UiPath or Similar)
• Previous experience with Rewst Preferred
• PowerBI, BrightGauge or Similar
• Proven experience in automation and tools management, preferably within an MSP environment.
• 2+ years leading a team
• Previous experience hands-on automation experience
• Experience working with RMMs and Ticketing Systems
• General working knowledge of IT systems such as cloud computing, networking, storage and software.
