Job Title: Remote Accountant (100% Work From Home)


Location: Remote from Latin America


Position Type: Full-time


Salary: $2,000 USD/month


Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Central with lunch at noon


Job Overview:

We’re looking for someone who’s super organized and great at handling invoices to join our client's team. If you love keeping things in order, figuring out how to make processes smoother, and don’t mind a bit of a learning curve, this might be the perfect fit for you! This role is all about keeping things running smoothly while we transition to a better system. If you like working independently, staying organized, and making processes better, we’d love to hear from you!


Responsibilities:

  • Keeping Invoices in Check – Tracking, inputting, and splitting invoices so everything stays neat and accurate.
  • Working with Legacy System – We use FMS Solutions right now, and while it might take some getting used to, we’ll help you get up to speed.
  • Prepping for a QuickBooks Transition – In the next three months, we’re moving to QuickBooks, and we need someone who can help us make that transition smooth.
  • Building Reports for AP & Departments – Creating custom reports based on how invoices are collected and how accounts payable are managed.
  • Thinking on Your Feet – Things move fast, and we need someone who can troubleshoot and problem-solve without getting stuck.
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliation of vendor statements, credit card statements, and bank accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze and interpret complex accounting data to support strategic decision-making and financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across all accounting functions, including AP, AR, and general ledger.


Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:

  • You have proven experience in accounting roles beyond basic bookkeeping, with strong exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions.
  • In-depth understanding of financial statements, reconciliation processes, and month-end close procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex accounting tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in retail industries or organizations.
  • You’re super organized and can keep track of details without missing a beat.
  • You’re open to learning a legacy system (FMS Solutions) before we switch to QuickBooks.
  • You can think quickly, adapt, and solve problems as they come up.
  • If you have QuickBooks experience, that’s a huge plus!
