Role Summary

The Localization Technician supports the entire Localization Department in various daily tasks, focusing mostly on creation of subtitles and captions. Responsibilities may also include proofing text for errors, editing, positioning, and timing of subtitles and captions for video presentation.

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Remote Options: Fully Remote

What You’ll Be Doing

• Generate subtitles and captions for use.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including post-production, project management, video operations & others, to ensure the smooth delivery of final materials.
• Organization of source materials and exports.
• Perform quality check and sync on final outputs
• Ability to operate under high pressure situations and handle time-sensitive content
  
  
  

Expectations

• Must be capable of working independently and within a team
• Ability to shift priorities as needed.
• Establish a solid understanding of client technical specifications for subtitle and closed caption projects.
• Initiative in delivering an exceptional product and service
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Effective communicator – written and verbal
• Deadline oriented
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
• Continuance improvement of automated workflows & processes.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years in a post-production environment
• Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software
• Experience with non-linear editing software (Premiere, Avid, FCP) is a plus
• Working knowledge of multiple media formats & file types
• Knowledge and application of digital tapeless workflows
• Understanding of 4K/HD/SD video formats, frame rates, & Codecs
