Job Title: Power BI Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with expertise in Mortgage Services (Financial Service experience is also preferred) to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI, leveraging Mortgage expertise. This role requires strong data visualization skills, proficiency in SQL, and the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Report & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
Data Modeling: Create efficient data models in Power BI and integrate data from other sources.
Performance Optimization: Ensure dashboards and reports are optimized for performance and scalability.
Data Extraction & Transformation: Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data.
Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to understand reporting needs and deliver insightful visualizations.
Security & Governance: Implement role-based security models in Power BI and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
Automation & Scheduling: Automate data refreshes, report scheduling, and implement best practices for report distribution.
Testing & Validation: Validate report accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
Documentation: Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and processes to support ongoing use and maintenance.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Power BI – creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).
Expertise in Mortgage processes.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience working with data lakes, warehouses, and cloud-based databases.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
Familiarity with Python or Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse) is a plus.
Financial Services experience is a plus.

Professional Experience:

3+ years of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Experience integrating Power BI with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and queries.
