Location description: This is a home-based role with the requirement to work from both home and lifeboat stations. Candidates must reside within the Mablethorpe to Burnham-on-Crouch area to be eligible for this position.

We are looking for a Regional Systems Support Co-ordinator to join our Regional Business Support Team. This role helps build on the training already provided to RNLI staff and volunteers, representing customer interests on projects and providing onward training and general support.

Your role


As a Regional Systems Support Co-ordinator, you will be involved in co-ordinating the needs of your end users in new and current RNLI systems. By reporting issues and updates, you will help improve the systems to make the tasks simpler and less time consuming for our lifesavers.


Your role as Regional Systems Support Co-ordinator has three main functions:


1. To help project teams develop and test new technology solutions from idea initiation to being ready for deployment.

2. To deploy new technology solutions by delivering training to end users.

3. To support users with technology solutions that are part of business-as-usual processes and contribute towards process improvements.


Your responsibilities in this role will include:


- Be a super user of the new RNLI systems with comprehensive knowledge of their operation and application.

- To provide deployment support and co-ordination of end users to support full business adoption of new RNLI systems, hardware, and process change.

- Supporting the running and facilitation of events with decision makers, system owners, and end users to chart and define existing and future work stream processes, systems, and hardware.

- Assist other RNLI support teams with systems issues.

- Work with the stakeholders to identify training needs, support the creation of targeted and timely training interventions within agreed timescales and deliver the training during deployment.


About you


As Regional Systems Support Co-ordinator, you will have an inquisitive mind and an appetite for understanding how users interact with technology.


To be considered as the Regional Systems Support Co-ordinator, you will need:


Essential criteria:


- Excellent IT skills – proficiency in MS Office and confidence in using various systems and applications.

- Managing self – the ability to work from home, maintain focus, and prioritise workload appropriately to business needs.

- Interpersonal Skills – the ability to work with anyone and assist them in maximising the use of systems we use.

- Training delivery – Competence in training staff and volunteers on RNLI applications and systems, including creating work instructions and training documentation.

- Customer focus – treat everyone as a customer and provide the level of service you would expect to receive.

- A full driving licence is required.

- Must live within the area covered by the role.

- The flexibility to work evenings is essential.


Desirable criteria:


- Experience with lifesaving operations processes – Familiarity with applications such as AX, IT Self Service, LSAR, Horizon, RCAMS, MySAR, MyStore, Compass ZMYStation, and RNLI2.

- Technical Knowledge – Understanding of Bitlocker, Bomgar, password resets and Raspberry Pi, and basic Windows PC construction.

- Awareness of the operations and workings of our lifeboat stations.
