The Loss Prevention Analyst (LPA) is responsible for supporting field and corporate operations execution of Loss Prevention processes. This role has analysis-based responsibilities within an assigned Region/Area.  The LPA manages liaison with internal partners to mitigate and prevent further losses.  The LPA leverages data and technology to focus and accomplish work with high business benefit and utilizes assessment and exception management tools to target and resolve risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages design and production of LP reports, dashboards, scorecards, and exception metrics that provide relevant and timely indications regarding asset loss risks and operational compliance
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to fraudulent activities
  • Keeps senior management and stakeholders informed of data and trends indicative of asset loss risks
  • Identify patterns and trends in fraudulent activities to inform LP Divisional Management
  • Utilizes internal and external data in decision making to determine business value/benefits of decisions and to focus resources on high return efforts
  • Reviews internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures that affect store assets
  • Investigates and resolves incidents discovered or reported, identifying causes and vulnerabilities during post-incident investigation and applying lessons learned to mitigate repeat incidents
  • Accurate, thorough and timely review of all available Exception Reporting Tools to gain maximum value in identifying trends that are negative to Company and/or LP goals
  • Reports on internal deficiency trends that need to be addressed to Operations and LP leadership, and develop solutions that address these deficiencies and trends
  • Ensure that all assigned internal investigations are completed timely and that all of our internal policies and procedures are being followed when it comes to internal investigations
  • Reports and analyzes LP investigation results and recommend improvements to processes and procedures to management for improved asset control
  • Participates in and/or assists in other projects assigned by supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be bi-lingual (English required)
  • 2 years of loss prevention/asset protection/criminal justice experience
  • Advanced analytical skills, including ability to extract, aggregate, normalize and mine data sets for analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Strong analytical, assessment, and data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in English
  • Ability to respond quickly and adapt to changes in priorities driven by a dynamic market
  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office applications
  • Pawn Knowledge/Experience a plus
