Job description

Role Overview

As a Field Sr. Global Account Manager at Lenovo, you will manage and expand named strategic accounts. You will work closely with high-profile clients, leveraging Lenovo's comprehensive product and service portfolio to meet their needs and drive business growth. This role requires a consultative selling approach, a deep understanding of client business processes, and navigating complex sales cycles.



Key Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop solid and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within assigned global accounts.
  • Serve as clients' primary point of contact, addressing their needs and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product management, marketing, and service delivery, to develop tailored solutions for clients.

Consultative Selling:

  • Understand clients' business challenges and objectives, providing consultative advice and proposing effective solutions.
  • Present Lenovo’s product and service offerings in a compelling manner, demonstrating value and ROI.

Market and Industry Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Account Management:

  • Monitor account performance, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss performance, opportunities for improvement, and plans.
  • Build, present, and execute on Account Plan Reviews (APR)

Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on account status, sales activities, and market conditions to senior management.



Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years of sales experience selling PC, Infrastructure, advanced Services and Storage



Preferred qualifications

  • Proven track record of successful sales
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time.
  • A background in Global selling and/or Consulting vertical preferred.
  • Self starter and excellent problem solver
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements.
  • Proven ability to grow a business with a global organization as a client.
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive presence



The role can be based in Morrisville, NC or New England.




The base salary range budgeted for this position is $130,000- $170,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
