Tasks & Responsibilities

This position will carry over the following activities as part of the Network Services team:

Firewall Rule Evaluation: Assess firewall rule and access requests, collaborating with the Firewall Engineer and customers to ensure compliance with customer’s Information Assurance Policies and Procedures (IAPP) and standard security policies
Compliance and Automation: Utilize Tufin to enable compliance checks and automate security analysis wherever feasible, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in security operations
Process Development: Support and collaborate in the development and refinement of end-to-end processes for firewall rule and access requests, ensuring streamlined and effective operations
Policy Cleanup and Hygiene: Lead initiatives to clean up and maintain the hygiene of J&J's firewall policy. Leverage Tufin's reporting capabilities to identify and address policy redundancies and inefficiencies
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on security practices and policies, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies, proposing enhancements to existing processes and tools to improve security posture
On-Call Schedule: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical security incidents and ensure rapid response to any potential threats or breaches.

Skills required:

At least 3-5 years experience deploying, configuring, and administering Cisco firewalls
Cisco firewall, Cisco IPS, Cisco ACS and Cisco ISE Experience
Hands on experience with network protocols ( EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc)
Experience securing a large inter network establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access
CCSP or higher preferred
Tufin experience preferred
Experience in managing site-to-site and remote access VPNs
Experience in resolving network connectivity failures
Must have excellent understanding of networking at all layers of the OSI model
Must be comfortable in reading packet captures (wireshark / pcap)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated success in managing, analyzing and solving complex network issues
Experience in managing network and security technologies.
