Tasks & Responsibilities

This position will carry over the following activities as part of the Network Services team:
           

  • Firewall Rule Evaluation:  Assess firewall rule and access requests, collaborating with the Firewall Engineer and customers to ensure compliance with customer’s Information Assurance Policies and Procedures (IAPP) and standard security policies
  • Compliance and Automation: Utilize Tufin to enable compliance checks and automate security analysis wherever feasible, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in security operations
  • Process Development: Support and collaborate in the development and refinement of end-to-end processes for firewall rule and access requests, ensuring streamlined and effective operations
  • Policy Cleanup and Hygiene: Lead initiatives to clean up and maintain the hygiene of J&J's firewall policy. Leverage Tufin's reporting capabilities to identify and address policy redundancies and inefficiencies
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on security practices and policies, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies, proposing enhancements to existing processes and tools to improve security posture
  • On-Call Schedule: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical security incidents and ensure rapid response to any potential threats or breaches.

 

Skills required:

  • At least 3-5 years experience deploying, configuring, and administering Cisco firewalls
  • Cisco firewall, Cisco IPS, Cisco ACS and Cisco ISE Experience
  • Hands on experience with network protocols ( EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc)
  • Experience securing a large inter network establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access
  • CCSP or higher preferred
  • Tufin experience preferred
  • Experience in managing site-to-site and remote access VPNs
  • Experience in resolving network connectivity failures
  • Must have excellent understanding of networking at all layers of the OSI model
  • Must be comfortable in reading packet captures (wireshark / pcap)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing, analyzing and solving complex network issues
  • Experience in managing network and security technologies.
