Job description

The Learning & Development Lead plays a strategic and hands-on role in executing and optimizing Trafilea’s Learning & Development programs across the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of training, onboarding, and talent development initiatives that align with company goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement. By partnering closely with People Business Partners and other internal stakeholders, the L&D Lead ensures that L&D strategies are effectively implemented, data-informed, and tailored to support performance and growth across all departments.

Key Objectives:

  • Own and lead the execution of Trafilea’s performance management cycle, including performance reviews, talent calibration, IDPs, and PIPs.

  • Drive the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of onboarding, training, and development initiatives to support business needs.

  • Champion innovation in learning through new tools, methodologies, and engagement strategies (e.g., gamification, tailored learning paths).

  • Ensure alignment and communication with PBPs and cross-functional leaders, acting as their go-to partner for L&D strategies and solutions.

General Accountabilities

A. Learning Strategies & Execution

  • Design and deliver L&D programs aligned with quarterly company goals and talent needs.

  • Ensure high engagement and adoption of key learning initiatives across departments.

  • Track program effectiveness and report progress monthly to guide improvements.

B. Onboarding & Integration

  • Execute and enhance onboarding processes to match Trafilea’s fast-paced growth.

  • Ensure senior hires successfully integrate into the culture and processes of the company.

  • Monitor onboarding success metrics and propose improvements based on feedback and business impact.

C. Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Lead quarterly performance reviews and semestral talent calibration sessions, ensuring full compliance and meaningful insights.

  • Support the creation and tracking of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

  • Promote mentoring and leadership development programs that support high-potential talent.

D. Platforms & Content Management

  • Manage and improve the learning experience across digital platforms (e.g., LMS).

  • Keep training content, video tutorials, and handbooks up-to-date and aligned with business needs.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external providers to ensure content quality and relevance.

E. Strategic Planning & Team Collaboration

  • Co-create OKRs for the L&D team and drive 85%+ completion each quarter.

  • Collaborate with PBPs and Project Managers to ensure alignment and execution of L&D strategies.

  • Facilitate cross-department collaboration to identify learning gaps and provide data-driven solutions.
