Our demand writing teams play a crucial role in helping clients recover settlements by preparing detailed, persuasive demand letters based on case-specific medical records, damages, and liability evidence.

As we expand, we are seeking a Demands Team Lead to lead our growing Demand Department, ensuring operational excellence, consistent quality, and team development.

Position Overview

As the Demands Team Lead, you’ll manage a team of Demand Writers and Assistant Demand Writers supporting U.S. personal injury law firms in the pre-litigation phase. You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day demand operations, providing quality control, coaching team members, and liaising with client-side managers to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

This is a leadership role ideal for someone with strong experience in personal injury case workflows, particularly in preparing or reviewing demand packages. Your ability to balance people management, quality assurance, and deadline accountability will directly impact settlement outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of Demand Writers and Assistants, overseeing performance, workload distribution, and training.
  • Review and approve demand letters for accuracy, completeness, tone, and legal strategy before submission to attorneys or clients.
  • Monitor demand timelines and ensure all deliverables meet internal and client deadlines.
  • Audit files to ensure all supporting documentation (e.g., medical records, billing summaries, police reports, photos) is properly included and labeled.
  • Collaborate with client-side leadership to receive feedback, clarify expectations, and ensure alignment with firm preferences.
  • Implement and enforce department-wide SOPs, including formatting, tone, timelines, and documentation checklists.
  • Identify training needs and create coaching plans for underperforming writers or assistants.
  • Track department KPIs and report progress to CoreBridge and client leadership.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new demand staff as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a U.S. personal injury law firm or legal outsourcing environment.
  • Prior experience writing or supervising demand letters in pre-litigation PI is required.
  • Strong knowledge of California PI case flow (or similar jurisdictions), including medical specials, general damages, and lien negotiation.
  • Excellent English communication and editing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of how to build persuasive case narratives.
  • Proven leadership or team lead experience in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with case management platforms such as Filevine is a plus.
