MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in allied health fields OR master’s in public health
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience with mentoring adult learners and developing educational needs assessments
2. Experience with team leading and establishing performance metrics
3. Experience with trauma related care
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Licensed to practice in the state of WV, as applicable
EXPERIENCE:
1. Understanding of the Trauma Quality Improvement process and patient safety programs; knowledge of standards required by various regulatory agencies.
2. Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills to meet established deadlines, on assigned projects.
3. ENPC, TNCC, TCAR or ATLS provider/instructor/auditor, if RN.

1. Develop methods to communicate a variety of initiatives to improve quality of care for the trauma patient population.
2. Represent WVU Medicine om a variety of local and regional public and professional meetings.
3. Coordinate case audits and reviews with referring hospital staff and EMS agencies within the WVU Medicine referral area, in collaboration with the local trauma personnel and the Director of Trauma Programs
4. Identify learning needs and develop educational materials to address those needs
5. Provide and/or coordinate trauma related continuing educational programs in the assigned region (i.e. Stop the bleed, TNCC, ENPC, ATLS, RTTDC)
6. Assist regional personnel to establish injury prevention initiatives based upon the common trends that region.
7. Provide follow up communications as applicable
8. In collaboration with the local trauma personnel, ensure compliance with all state and national standards and regulations.
9. Reports trends and performance issues to the Trauma Medical Advisory Committee (TMAC) or Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (EMSAC) during regular meetings.
10. Collaborate with local trauma personnel and local emergency management planners for planning and preparation of disaster drill and activations
11. Monitor designated educational and outreach programs for effectiveness and adjust in accordance with needs.
12. Other duties may be assigned by the TPM or TMD, to support the goals and mission of the JMMTC.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of and ability to use computers, including word processing, spread sheets, graphics, messaging (E-Mail), data base management, and report writers. Experience with Excel, Microsoft teams, Webex and ZOOM is useful.
2. Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills, on assigned projects and to recommend improvement to the process of collecting, maintaining, and reporting trauma registry data.
3. Experience with performance audits.
4. Ability to establish productive relationships with a wide variety of health care professionals.
5. Ability to mentor adult learners.
