Job Summary
Responsible for low to moderate-scale security assignments with moderate direction from senior team members. Develops fundamental understanding of basic security. Assists in gathering, investigating, and analyzing security requirements, processes, and incidents. Assesses security controls through security testing or other means to ensure effectiveness. Develops and maintains necessary documentation of security systems, projects, and/or processes to ensure unified understanding of system details. Often involved directly in implementation, support, and/or usage of technical solutions.Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate security incidents to protect the organization’s information systems and data, collaborating with various teams to ensure a swift and effective response that minimizes potential impacts.
Document incidents for reporting and communicating findings across different stakeholders
Assist in developing and refining incident response policies and procedures to enhance the organization's security posture
Manage security and compliance readiness for Technology projects and legacy findings.
Serve as the contact for Technology PMs on security issues and assess activities for compliance teams.
Coordinate risk management related to security policy deviations and provide initial inputs on security requirements.
Demonstrate strong multitasking and teamwork skills, with a commitment to continuous learning in security.
Minimum Requirements:
Security Specialist Senior (SG7)
Education: Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).
Experience: 2 or more years of Information Technology related experience; OR 1 or more years of security related experience, which may include military/government work experience in addition to any experience identified above.
Security Specialist Principal (SG8)
Education: Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).
Experience: 4 or more years of Information Technology related experience; OR 2 or more years of security related experience, which may include military/government work experience in addition to any experience identified above.

Security Specialist Principal (SG8): $96,110 - $124,941
