About this role

As the Care Operations Analytics Senior Associate/Principal at Waymark, you will play a vital role in building and executing on an approach to quality and performance improvement that is rooted in the principles of equity, continual learning, and humility. Reporting to the Vice President of Care Model & Quality, you will be responsible for partnering with Analytics, Market Operations, and Clinical teams to define, implement, and optimize key performance metrics of whole-system quality, develop and maintain performance dashboards that drive strategic decision making, and support measurement of performance improvement efforts. You will ensure performance measurement is aligned with organizational priorities and drives meaningful improvement. You should bring a deep knowledge of performance measurement and improvement tools and methods, a passion for community-oriented care, openness, and creativity. 

Responsibilities

  • Define and iterate on care delivery success measures, spanning access, quality, and cost
  • Establish benchmarks and targets aligned with operational goals
  • Partner with analytics team to design, implement, and maintain performance dashboards
  • Routinely monitor and report out on priority performance metrics to proactively identify areas for improvement 
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for operations leadership
  • Oversee implementation of performance incentive program for care delivery teams
  • Support measurement of quality improvement initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support on performance measurement-related issues and be responsible for fostering a “safe space” quality culture focused on continual learning and improvement.

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience developing performance monitoring frameworks and partnering with analysts to identify and build high-priority metrics for health care operations
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and quality metrics
  • Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated results with quality improvement concepts, tools, and techniques
  • Excellent written communication and data presentation skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to multitask and create structure 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Systems thinker and problem solver, able to toggle between the details and big picture view with ease 
  • Willing to roll up sleeves and dig in to the work at hand
  • Values teamwork and collaboration
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment 
  • Detail-oriented
  • 7-10 years relevant experience 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Expertise in community-based primary care
  • Experience working with product and design teams
  • MPH or equivalent degree
  • LEAN greenbelt or higher

Salary Range

US employees in New York City, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $119,000 - $185,000

US employees in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Diego & Washington DC: $112,000 - $165,000

US employees outside of the above listed US Cities: $104,000 - $155,000
