Based in Austin, Texas, Siete Family Foods makes delicious, Mexican-American food with better-for-you ingredients. Siete is family-owned and operated by all seven (Siete!) members of the Garza family. We are passionate about making and sharing real food that brings families together around the dinner table. We're on a mission to bring people together to experience the flavors and traditions that brought the Garza family together on their journey to health.
Long before your career in CPG and grocery channel sales began, you had a deep appreciation for your time spent at the grocery store! Your grocery runs felt like scavenger hunts—finding all the latest from your favorite brands, seeking out new products you’d never tried, and of course, grabbing your “tried and trues.” This is why, when you began working with retailers, brokers, and distributors, you felt prepared and wholeheartedly committed to putting your best foot forward, no matter what.
With years of experience and a talent for problem solving, negotiating the best deals, and storing loads of knowledge on all the latest industry trends in your back pocket, you’re a grocery channel expert! Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you for our Sr. Sales Manager - Grocery Channel, West position!
About you:
Aisle by aisle, you’ve built a deep understanding of the grocery channel and all the latest industry trends. Some people call you the “grocery whisperer!”
One of your many talents includes your ability to talk to anyone about anything and everything! You’re known for finding common ground, negotiating deals, and inspiring meaningful conversations.
‘Results,’ ‘Driven,’ and ‘Initiative’ are three words that you live by (and maybe even sticky-noted onto your bathroom mirror at some point in your life).
Your communication cuts through mumbo-jumbo-yodel-lay-yehaw with precision, punctuality, and poise.
Instead of “me, myself, I,” you think, “customer, client, consumers.”
You’ve practically written a dissertation on how to establish strategic selling initiatives.
Performance management is your chips and queso.
You have big goals, but no problem is too small for you to lend a helping hand.
Problem solving is your idea of a fun pastime—especially when you’ve got a taco in hand.
What you will do:
Lead sales for grocery with Albertson’s and all West regional retailers.
Directly manage key accounts to ensure distribution gains on the right product mix, competitive marketplace pricing, and effective programming execution across product segments.
Understand who and how to influence accounts for retailer engagement, strategic partnership, and revenue generation.
Manage, cultivate, and lead impactful relationships in the channel, including brokers, distributors, and potential brand partners.
Manage customer spend to hit annual trade spending guidelines.
Achieve revenue targets, new item launch goals, and seize opportunities to increase Siete visibility and velocities within accounts.
Track identified sales metrics and represent the retail business in your region to the broader organization.
Determine forecast levels for key accounts within a large-scale forecast and work closely with Sales management to measure progress to plan.
Collaborate on and implement shopper marketing programs within key accounts.
Support the sales plan with key internal departments such as Finance, Operations, and Marketing through frequent communication and planning metrics.
Represent Siete at broker trainings, retail meetings, industry conferences and trade events.
Willing to travel up to 50% and attend trade shows.
Your experience:
7+ years of progressive experience within consumer packaged goods sales is required; sales experience within grocery channels in the US is strongly preferred.
Existing knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, and trade management is required.
Previous relationships with retail/grocery, brokers, and distributors is required.
Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (SPINS, Nielsen/IRI, etc.) required.
Please fill out our culture questionnaire. There are no wrong answers here -we want to learn more about you!
