Job description

Who We Are

Ontic makes software that corporate and government security professionals use to proactively manage threats, mitigate risks, and make businesses stronger. Built by security and software professionals, the Ontic Platform connects and unifies critical data, business processes, and collaborators in one place, consolidating security intelligence and operations. We call this Connected Intelligence. Ontic serves corporate security teams across key functions, including intelligence, investigations, GSOC, executive protection, and security operations.

As Ontic employees, we put our mission first and value the trust bestowed upon us by our clients to help keep their people safe. We approach our clients and each other with empathy while focusing on the execution of our strategy. And we have fun doing it.

Who You Are

We’re looking for an experienced, technical, and process-savvy VP of Technical Program Management to build, lead, and scale a new function that sits at the critical intersection of Product and Engineering.

This team’s charter is to facilitate world-class product & engineering execution across a globally distributed organization, ensuring we deliver what we commit to—on time, at quality, and with visibility for the entire business. And doing so in a way that is repeatable and scalable, with a mindset for continuous improvement.

Reporting to the COO, you’ll work alongside Operations, Product Management, and Engineering leadership, while managing a small, high-impact team including a Noida-based Technical Program Management Director / Lead and a handful of Technical Program Managers.

You’ll be responsible for establishing technical and program management best practices, scaling operational processes, and serving as the connective tissue that brings clarity and momentum to product delivery. In short: you and your team will be the glue that brings R&D together and the central point for visibility into the status of execution for the rest of the company.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and lead the Technical Program Management function to drive cross-functional execution and accountability across Product Management and Engineering teams
  • Drive the process and cadence of a world-class Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (e.g., agile ceremonies, sprint planning, release management, risk tracking) and continuous improvement (e.g. retrospectives, best practice implementations, maturity assessments)
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to product and engineering leaders, translating roadmap commitments into structured plans with clear ownership and measurable outcomes
  • Standardize the company’s product execution operating model—ensuring work is planned, tracked, delivered, and communicated effectively
  • Develop visibility frameworks (dashboards, scorecards, updates) that provide real-time insight into product delivery for internal (e.g. GTM, Executive) and external (e.g. Client) stakeholders
  • Serve as a critical bridge between Field, Product, and Engineering, aligning customer priorities with delivery timelines and execution capacity
  • Foster deep partnership between US-based and India-based teams, including regular travel to India to strengthen alignment and build strong relationships
  • Be a leader of people—coaching your team and influencing teams beyond your own, instilling a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Who You Are
  • A senior program leader with 15-20+ years experience in program or project management roles, including executive-level responsibility within high-growth SaaS companies
  • Highly technical, having held engineering and product/program management roles that give you credibility in your partnership with those teams
  • Deep experience implementing and scaling Agile practices across cross-functional teams—fluent in both the principles and the rituals that make them work
  • Proven success building and leading program management teams, and creating the systems, processes, and tools that enable fast, predictable delivery
  • A strong operator who can architect execution, not just manage it—able to build the machine that drives clarity, momentum, and accountability
  • Confident working across time zones and cultures, with experience navigating complex, fast-growing, and globally distributed organizations
  • An exceptional communicator and cross-functional leader who can influence with and without authority, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels
  • Passionate about developing people and creating a high-performance culture that values learning, feedback, and continuous improvement
  • Willing and able to travel regularly to India to lead from the front and embed practices on the ground
  • Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Ontic we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
